Great Location with Warm, wonderful staff!

I have been going to Playa del Carmen for the last 15 years and wouldn’t think of staying anyplace else. Amiable accommodating staff. Safe, sterile and make you feel just like Family! Highly recommend Hotel Lunata to everybody.

We stayed for six nights and loved our experience. The hotel is quaint, beautiful hacienda style and super clean. Rooms are comfy and staffed offer exceptional hospitality! They recommended to take theĀ el cielo cozumel tour a 40 minutes from us! We would highly recommend this resort and would certainly go back.

Nothing but great things to say about Hotel Lunata and its staff. The room was clean and attractively decorated, and the bed was comfy.

Front desk personnel were extremely friendly and helpful, and they coordinated our airport pickup from Cancun in addition to a day of trips (Tulum, Coba, and a cenote swim). It was all completely flawless, they did an excellent job arranging everything! The maintenance guy carried our suitcases to our room when we arrived, as well as down when we were checking out.

We opted for a garden view room and was very glad we did as it provided a peaceful break in the busy 5th Avenue, and the balcony included a hammock chair. Note that the street-facing balconies are smaller and don’t own a hammock, so if you would like to relax on the terrace make sure to book a backyard view.

The continental breakfast was excellent for us as we aren’t hefty breakfast eaters. However, there is a choice to spend USD 4 (if I recall correctly) to get a bigger breakfast of omelets, meat, etc.. They supplied water bottles in our room, as well as water jugs in the hallway and backyard to fill up for additional drinking water should you want.

We are just coming back from our 2nd stay at Hotel Lunata and though this is the only place we have ever stayed in PDC – if we return we go back to Hotel Lunata back again. Only reasons to not stay here is that you really wish to be beachfront or you are unable to take stairs because there’s absolutely no elevator in Hotel Lunata.
